How We Get Involved
At Glovertown Shipyard, we are committed to being involved in our community. We can do this through charitable donations (both local and provincial), scholarships, and other community initiatives.
Glovertown Shipyard is proud to have established the Hubert Ford Dowden Memorial Scholarship Award in honour of Ford Dowden, the shipyard’s former owner and operator. This award is presented annually at Glovertown Academy to a graduating post-secondary student.
Glovertown Shipyard Ltd. is also proud to support charities and local initiatives, such as:
